REVIEW [excerpt]: Blink-182's Punk Show at Comcast

"...Second-billed My Chemical Romance blasted through its cross-pollinated punk, a modern brew constructed with more posturing than rage. Energy was plentiful in the likes of the punishing "Destroya," with vocalist Gerard Way's shrieking outlasting a cacophonous backdrop.

Dashes of electronica dressed the piledriver romp "Planetary (Go!)," and conventional rock anchored the bounding "Teenagers," serving as much as any punk outcry as the group's formulaic underpinnings. The breakneck "I'm not Okay (I Promise)" delivered its rebellion with gusto but no particular abandon, harnessing its wild side and commoditizing the rage of misguided youth."
