ARTICLE: Inspired By Alex Turner's Quiff: The Worst Hair In Music 2011

Arctic Monkeys returned to headline V Festival this weekend (August 19-21), complete with a set list of old favourites and a showcase of their latest album 'Suck It And See'. Yet the real lasting memory for fans will probably be the vision of Alex Turner's appalling new hair style.



Trading his trademark lengthy locks for a 1950s style quiff, Turner certainly turned heads at V Festival's two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire. With this in mind Gigwise have decided to take a look at some of our other favourite musician's hair catastrophes.


From dreadlocks, afros, mohawks and combovers, through to dodgy colourings (even when it comes to facial hair!) and perms, these musicians have done it all. Check out our gallery below, featuring the likes of Jedward, Avril Lavinge, Kesha, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Mick Hucknell and Gerard Way, as well as the more unexpected inclusions of Dev Hynes, Mark Ronson, Jared Leto, Simon Neil and Bjork.
