REVIEW: [excerpt]: A youthful Blink-182 impresses at sold-out DTE show

"...My Chemical Romance, meanwhile, played like a band lost. The group was one of music's most promising young bands midway through last decade, but a long stretch of inactivity was followed by last year's underwhelming "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys," which stiffed commercially and critically. On Sunday, the band played too many songs off that album, many of which follow the same midtempo, soaring chorus formula. Lead singer Way, meanwhile, was unable to rile the crowd, and lacked the passion he brought to early performances. Maybe he could ask his tourmates the secret to staying forever young."
