NEWS (03/24/16): Gerard Way Speaks Out on Anniversary of My Chemical Romance’s Split

The singer says he's in "a much better place"

The New Jersey rock band announced their break-up on March 22 2013 and former frontman Gerard Way didn’t let the momentous occasion pass with out saying a few words.  The ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ singer took to Twitter to mark the band’s anniversary, saying that it feels like a decade since the group decided to part ways, concluding that he is “in a much better place” now.

My Chemical Romance released their final album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, in 2010.  After the band came to an end, Way went on to release a solo album, Hesitant Alien, in 2014.
