In the wake of the earthquake, tsunami and aftershock that has rocked
Japan, many are coming together to support the devastated nation.
Inspired by their fans, My Chemical Romance has partnered with the Red Cross to donate all the proceeds from iTunes downloads of their song "Sing", off their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, in support of the cause.
So instead of singing it for the world, this time, #SingItForJapan.
Check out the emotional video
directed by Claire Vogel, Ray Toro & MCRmy. It includes images of
the devastation and victims, against a stunning black and white
background of the band performing the song, to outcries of support from
youth across the globe. It’s hard not to react to the gravity in lead
singer Gerard Way’s voice. And while you’re listening, show your love
for the people of Japan by downloading the song on iTunes. A powerful
song and a good deed at the same time. What more could you ask for?
Head over to singitforjapan.com for more info. Then check out these other ways you can help Japan's earthquake relief efforts.
